Since I was a child, I wanted to be able to create things that would last in time, after they were made. I started with photography and later discovered my fascination and love for cinema. It is an unimaginably vast and unpredictable universe with an almost frightening freedom.
Today, I am a senior student at the National University of Theatre and Film “I.L. Caragiale” from Bucharest, majoring in Film and TV Directing, and I am still on the path of learning how to make lasting films.
After my first year of college, I created Onix Film Production House. This was a significant step in my career because it represents a dream. It represents a production house through which I will realize my projects, be it fiction or documentary. I will also get involved in supporting film students, who are at the beginning of their film careers in making their films.
As a director, I want to create an intimate bond with the viewer from the very first moments of the film. I want to break down the barrier of the lens and reach a connection that will remain even after leaving the theatre. My stories are sparked by the investigation of my personal history; I can express a thought, a moment in my life, a feeling.
The universal theme of love, in its various forms and ways of expression, appears frequently in the short films I have made: the understanding of a man at the limit of subsistence, of a couple separated by destiny or space, the caress of a soul with fur or even the absence of love. In a sense, I am the film I make, as it reflects a piece of my soul, which I choose to share with others. unpredictable universe, but with an almost frightening freedom.
